About Me
Ghetto Metal is a category of music representing a fusion of musical cultures;
a collaboration of metal, rock, hip-hop, funk, soul, blues, spoken word, and reggae.
Spearheaded by recording artist Bazaar Royale and hip-hop recording artist/activist M1 (Dead Prez) GHETTO METAL is the next phase of urban music. Period. Founded on the same principles as The Black Rock Coalition which was formed in 1985 by Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid, jour- nalist Greg Tate, and producer Konda Mason in reaction to the constrictions that the commercial music industry places on black alternative artists. 20 years later GHETTO METAL also strives to show the universality and transcendence of musical genres.
Ghetto Metal Radio was established to bring listeners all of the above and everything in between, featuring weekly guests, listener interaction and much, much more. Alongside the host of Ghetto Metal Radio, King of Ghetto Metal, Bazaar Royale is his British co-host, Nancy Leigh known for her crazy "no holds barred" style. Together they make a dead- ly and exciting combination attracting a diverse audience including hip hop, soul and rock and roll fans. This is GHETTO METAL.
